MONTENEGRO
Monteneggo is on Balkan Peninsula.That little oasis on the south of Europe has 4 national parks, and they occupy 7,5% of whole territory of Montenegro; 314 sorts of plants and many animals protect by law.In the year of 1991 Montenegro was decreed as a land of purity, untouched and shelter nature.
NATIONAL PARKS
SKADAR LAKE
The dipiest lake on Balkan has a rich history. It is the biggiest bird rezervation in Europe and the only place where yuo can see pelicans. During the drive across the lake you can enjoy in a beauty of its coast with many bays, lagoon and islands with unbelievable flora and fauna which you can see only here.
BIOGRADSKA GORA
It is on the north-west part of mountin Bjelasica, on the territory of 2500ha. The scientist discovered 25 groups of plants and 64 groups of boles. Most of them are real gigantics, because they have 60m of hight.
In the middle of Biogradska Gora is lake, on the 1094m hight above sea level.
DURMITOR
The beautiful mountain wich is ornated by canyon of ours famous and the most beautiful rivers Piva and Tara( in the whole world only the Grate canyon of Colorado can be compared with The canyon of Tara).
The mountain has 5 canyons, 18 lakes, around 750 springs of clear mountain water, more than 1500 plant species and even 130 bird species.
Durmitor with ais snow peaks reachs hight of 2525m.
LOVCEN
The heightist peaks Stirovnik on the 1749m hight above sea level and the peak Jezerski vrh is on the 1657m hight above sea level and there is Mausoleum-Grave of Montenegrin ruler Petar II Petrovic Njegos.
OSTROG
On of the most sacrd places in Montenegro is Monastery Ostrog. The monastery was built into the stone of steep cliffs, and sometimes it is hidden behinde vapor and clouds on the 900m hight above sea level, where from the heart of the mountain flows miracul and refreshing water.
In the southermost of Montenegro, in a part where river Bojana and Adriatic sea are linked there is one of the most beautiful beache on the Balkan-Velika Plaža( the Great beach). It covers the area of 13km of medicinal fineness sand. |
